The Legistation which has kept veterinary prescriptions free for the past three years expired on 30th October! Vets are allowed to charge for them once again!
You may already be aware of this but the legislation that kept veterinary prescriptions free ran out on October 30th. This may lead to Vets charging up to £15 for a prescription once again. This situation is one close to all our hearts (and wallets). We suggest that like us you keep an eye on this situation as it it not in the mainstream news media. Petitions are available online for those who wish to participate. A google search on "pet prescription charges" after selecting pages from the UK only, should turn up plenty of links to check out. |
